What did the Piligrams Believe

So what did the Pilgrims believe? What made them come to the New World? The Pilgrims believed in "Soul Liberty", no one had the power to make laws to bind the consciences of men especially in the habit of searching the Holy Scriptures. The Church of England didn't want them to have that freedom. England had a state church, it was worship as they worship or suffer the consequence. (Maybe death? That's religion)

They were called the Separatist congregation. In the year 1608 the Separatist numbering about 125 went to the more tolerant country of Holland.
